RBR850 and RBS850 Connection Drop
I have an RBR850 and two RBS Satellites and AT&T gigabyte internet. My modem and RBR850 have to be in a corner office of the 3000 sqft house. The first RBS850 is connected via backhaul/Ethernet cable...
Be sure your iPhone is NOT set to hide its IP address via Apple's "Private WiFi Address". If this is selected on your iPhone, odd things occur when shifting between nodes of your mesh system. I also suggest reserving IP addresses on your ORBI for all your home's WiFi devices. Good Luck!
- Thank you! I had done that already. Sometimes when I would get disconnected, I would toggle that mode and it would allow me to jump back on the wifi without walking to the router room. However it did not continue to work every time and since I have had that setting off completely but still have my issues of beings signed off when walking too quickly to other rooms with satellites.
Another option is to "Forget This Network" on your iPhone. Power off your phone for a minute, then power it back on and login to your ORBI 850 network. Again, I recommend setting IP reservations on your RBR850 for all your devices.
