RBR850 in AP mode and 4 RBS850 hardwired via Router.
I have an RBR850 in AP mode and four RBS850 to create an wifi 6 mesh network. De RBS850/RBR850 are all hardwired (port one) via a switch (Ubiquity). Firmware: V3.2.17.12_1.4.14 on all of the devices....

Thank you for your reply. Looks like the update within the network of Orbi will only work if the backhaul is connected wireless. The moment I disconnected the cables on all the units it performed the updates. I did bring them a bit closer to the RBR to make sure the connection was stable. They are all working now with an updated setting. I assumed that the update of all the units from the RBR would be better in de wired mode, so I did not even consider going back to wireless. It is a bit of a pain to do it this way. I have the units across my property and not only in the house but also in the outbuildings. They cover a total area of about 1000 m2. (almost 11.000 ft2. Wireless backhaul does work but is a bit unreliable on the units which are the furthest away, so I switched to wired. Again, thank you for your reply. H

Update? What update are you referring too?
Didn't you say FW was udpated on all units already?

Sorry if I was not clear in my mail. I meant the update of the WIFI settings to all 4 of the RBS 850's as I change them in the RBR850 via the web-interface. The problem started when all the units were wired and one of the RBS850 did not show encryption anymore on the common WIFI network while all the other units including the RBR850 showed encryption. I assumed I did something wrong on the RBR850 so I changed this one to none encryption and waited until all the RBS850 showed this. Nothing happened, not even after one day. No syncing of settings from the RBR850 to the satellite RBS850 units. Only when I performed the activity as described (backhaul wireless and all RBS850 close to the RBR850) did it change the settings of all the satellites to reflect the once on the RBR850. Hope it is clear now. Thank again. H.

Yes, now that makes sence.
So how do you have the RBS connected when wired?Directly to the back of the RBR or is there any LAN switches in between the RBR and RBS?

They are wired via Switches. US 24-500 24 port POE and US 8 - 150 8 port POE Ubiquity switches and one has a Devolo Magic 2 LAN (Din rail and power plug) in between. All are plugged in on port one on the RBX units.
