RBR850 ipv6 drops through connections?

I've seen reports of issues with ipv6 and xfinity on multiple devices. Not just the orbi.
I used a pihole and my ipv6 seems to be more stable (with ipv6 changed in orbi/pihole).
You don't need ipv6 enabled. It should still work fine with just ipv4 working.
I don't understand how using a pihole changes anything? I've pihole running on a mostly idle 3B+ providing DNS to my local net. Works well for what it does.
