Rbr850. Isp change limited wifi
Changed my ips and wired connections work great. When it comes to wifi only 30% of my devices work. Things just will not connect. Change back to my old isp and everything works 100%. Is there a se...

Fixed. It was a isp issue and not a ng issue. Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

Perhaps a silly question......
The only change is to connect the Ethernet cable from the RBR850 router to one or the other ISP devices?
(the router is not reconfigured. the WiFi credentials (SSID/password) remain exactly the same?)
Did the first ISP device broadcast WiFi? i.e. there were no devices connected to the old ISP device?

Correct that cable is the only change. No changes to the orbi at all. The isp is not broadcasting.

Perhaps an experiment is in order.
Orbi systems do not require an internet connection to function. True, there is precious little the average person can do with a WiFi router system without an internet connection, but there was a great example on the forum of a medical group that wanted a WiFi system to network their devices in a clinic out in the jungle.
- Remove the internet connection entirely. Reboot the router. Open the Orbi web interface, navigate to Attached Devices, and make a screen shot of the list of satellites and devices that are connected.
- Connect the Ethernet cable to the old ISP and repeat.
- Connect the Ethernet cable to the new ISP and repeat.
Which devices fail to appear when connected to the new ISP?

With my old ISP and NO isp all network devices work. When I plug in my new ISP it is mismatch of things that work. For example my android phone will not hook up, no matter where I stand. Same with my printer. One of my Ring cameras work, but all of the others do not work. My Apple TV works, my tablet does not. No rhyme or reason or location (satellite). My laptop which is network wired in works.
Very strange. Do you think the ISP needs to configure something different?

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.
How many RBS are deployed?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?What is the distance between the router 📡 and satellite(s)🛰️? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR 📡 and RBS 🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.
