RBR850 issues after power loss
I am having major issues recovering my RBR850 / RBS850 network after a power blink. RBR is on a UPS, so did not lose power (along with modem). 2x RBS did momentarily lose power. After power is b...

What Firmware version is currently loaded on the RBR and RBS?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR📡 and RBS🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.

Did you also factory reset the RBS as well as the RBR?
Does this happen with the RBS turned OFF?
Does this happen with both wireless and wired devices?
What channel configurations are currently set on the router?
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:

Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Smart Parental Controls or Circle, Traffic Meter.

Firmware version on RBR & RBS is 4.6.14.3_2.3.12
Modem is Adtran SDX622V
LAN cable quality is good
3,500 sqft home with Satellites placed optimally. Distance isn't causing the issues though, as wifi devices right next to the router are even having these quirks of "no internet connection" while still seeing the WiFi (and the satellites have been turned off to eliminate that as a possible issue).
This is only happening with wireless devices.
Wireless channel configurations:
| 2.4 GHz Channel | Auto (2) |
| 2.4 GHz Wireless mode: | Up to 1147 Mbps |
| 5 GHz Channel | 36 + 40 + 44 + 48(P) |
| 5 GHz Wireless mode: | Up to 2402 Mbps |
Distant WiFi neighbors - no strong signals
MAC Address randomizers on/off don't seem to have an impact on this issue.
Armor, Smart Parental Controls, Traffic Meter were all already disabled.
I do see that IPV6 Internet Connection Type is Disabled - should that be on Auto-Detect?

What is the CAT# of this cable? CAT6A STP is recommended here.

Only if your ISP supports this natively from them.- Ketchy311Jan 18, 2024Aspirant
Still having a terrible time with this, had hoped a couple days just running off the RBR850 would smooth things out - but still getting random devices not being able to get an internet signal from the WiFi or connect at all even though they see it at full signal strength.
-LAN cable from modem to router is CAT6A
-Had issues with 2x RBS not even powered up - now powering back up at about 20-30ft distance, same issues.
Attempted factory reset on 1 RBS has been a complete failure - device always comes back with the purple (magenta?) light rather than a white light - so can not sync for new setup. Shows up in attached devices list with "Out of Sync" backhaul status, and Firmware version fails to ever check on it.
-Tried channels 1 and 40 for quite a while and no difference was noticed.
Feels like this whole system should factory reset easier than this and potentially fix the problem, but unable to do so. Can't believe the hours I have spent on a half working $1,000 mesh network. So incredibly frustrating.

I recommend that you update FW to all RBS then the RBR lastly using a wired PC and use the RBS web pages to get them updated:
Then same on the RBR. After the system seems back to ready with RBS synced, do a fully on Factory Reset and setup from scratch using the following process outline in the PDF:
I recommend bring the RBS to near or close to the RBR or in same room with the RBR when you do all of this.
