RBR850 Wifi Drops - Hardwire fine.
I have the Orbii RBR850 system with the Router and 2 satellites and I have been having intermittent problems with WIFI drop outs for a few months now. I use ATT Fiber 1Gup/1Gdown. Current Firmware...
2800 Square foot..
Gateway is a PACE 5268AC
Orbi Router is in AP Mode (most functionality is off) and still had this issue in router mode.
Firmware is V4.6.8.2
5G on Auto and I have tried 48
2.4G I have done 1,6,11
There are other networks nearby, but mine is the most powerful in the hood.
What mode is the modem working in? Router or Bridge mode? This already has a built in router and wifi.
If I only have the ORBI setup as an AP... it shouldn't matter what mode the router is in. This would only be relevant if the Orbi was routing itself correct?
Yes...does matter about the ISP modem.
If all the ORBI is doing is acting as an Access Point, and the Gatway-Router is still functioning as a Router with no wifi, why would I bridge it?
You would Bridge it assuming Orbi was going to do all the work, but it is not. What am I missing here?
