RBRE 960
Orbi 960 Quad Band sounds great, but the owner/consumer, has no control of the 4 bands. This is ridiculous at a cost of $2000.00. I have Xfinity/ Comcast and I used to buy there routers until I disco...

There is a big different from what your used to with older single routers that are not MESH supporting and Orbi MESH. MESH was never meant to or will not have user controls over each freqency beyond what is seen on the 960 series. Smart Connect is the main feature that combines all SSID from each frequency into one. On single non mesh routers user can configured this separately. On Orbi MESH, you can not. The 960 is the only one that has a separate SSID network that you can enabled for only 6Ghz support. Also there is a separate IoT network that was first in the model for those troublesome IoT devices wthat would not connect to any Orbi system due to the IoT mfr not making there setup software compliant with 5Ghz signals and devices that perfer 5Ghz signals over 2.4Ghz even though both frequencies are on SAME NETWORK. So NG came up with this network to appease those IoT users.
Also be aware that there is already a 6Ghz signal on the main wifi network as well along with the 2.4 and 5Ghz radios. So you have actually 2 6Ghz radio support, the main one and the separate one as well. NG put in the separate 6Ghz to let users ensure any 6Ghz supporting devices would connect on 6Ghz.
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.
How many RBS are deployed?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR📡 and RBS🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.

Does this happen with the RBS turned OFF?
Does this happen with both wireless and wired devices?
What channel configurations are currently set on the router?
My 960 series has been working great ever since I got it. And I also have cameras and some IoT stuff. Been a solid system even when it first came out. I don't use the separate 6Ghz network as the main works good enough for me.
