RBRE960 Dynamic DNS, limited selection of services?
I just set up my RBRE960. I want to use dynamic DNS -- but I fail to understand why we're limited to which dynamic services we can use (Netgear, DYN, NO-IP). This makes zero sense to me. ...
The reason is that each of the DDNS services has a different protocol for updating the service database when the public IP is changed and Netgear programmed the router for only those services. When you subscribe to DDNS in a computer, you load the update code on the computer. Sorry. You are stuck with these choices.
