RBRE960 LAN PORTS DROPPING
Hi All, I have been having a problem lately with my RBR960. The LAN ports just randomly drop. I work from home and this is a problem when on video calls. Could this be a firmware issue? The r...

Problem solved. The satellites have been up for over two days after reconfiguring my network switches.
The router is connected to a 2.5GB switch for hardwired backhaul. Off of that switch there are only two connections, for Satellite 1 and Satellite 3. My mistake was the LAN cable going to satellite 3 was connected to another switch in my office first before the Satellite 3.
That switch was connected to my ARUBA for my work VPN connection, satellite 3, and other wired network devices (appleTV, rokuTV, onkyo receiver.) In this configuration there were any spanning tree loops. I was treating the satellite as basically an AP. What clued me in was a weird situation when it was in that configuration with a 4th satellite showing up on my topology with a broadcast address. Broadcast storm?!?!?!
To correct this I simply connected the LAN cable from the 2.5GB switch (that is from the backhaul port on the router) directly to the satellite 3. Then used one of the 1GB ethernet ports off the back of the satellite to the 2.5GB switch in my office. I don't have any throughput issues. On my VPN connection through my ARUBA I am getting much better upload and download speeds.
Next step is to let it run for another week. If it's stable upgrade to the .31 firmware.

Ah good find. Glad you found that and corrected it.
Ya you might see ARP storm happening for sure. If the switches LEDs are normally randomly blinking however were always constantly blinking, then that would indicate a ARP storm. Connection path is important. Glad you found it.
Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
https://kb.netgear.com/000062080/How-do-I-back-up-the-configuration-settings-on-my-Orbi-WiFi-SystemI'd recommend keeping v.21 FW loaded for now. We can't recommend v.31 at this time.
