RBR/S 850 backhaul status out of sync and incapable of updating firmware via IP address

• Trying to access the satellites using the default IP address instead of the one provided by the router
• Generating a new backhaul password and then resyncing
• Updating the router's firmware (successfully updated router's firmware but that is all)

I have not yet tried to factory reset the router, but that is the only thing I can think of doing and I don't particularly want to do that if not necessary. None of the above have resulted in a proper solution.

The most success I have had is that one of the satellites has momentarily reported that the backhaul status was 'okay' but this was only for a few seconds after resyncing. For brevity, the satellites do appear to be working in some regard. The wi-fi network is extended and the internet can be accessed via this extension, despite the issues I'm seeing.

Are my devices defective? Otherwise how can I fix the backhaul status problem and/or update their firmware when I can't access them?
