Thanks I attempted the Sync in the same room both from pushing the button on both units, to which it failed, and then Using the GUI on the RBR and pressing the button on the RBS (same net effect I think ) and it also failed. Currently I have wired backhaul active on both RBS (have 2). One (which I didnt factory reset) still has my custom SSID on both 2.4 and 5. The other (which I did factory reset) has the ORBI26 that I cannot get rid of. See attached image of the RBS Status screen.
RBS - Hardware Version: RBS850 Firmware Version: V3.2.16.22_1.4.9

What is the Mfr and mode# of the main host router?
I would turn OFF the other RBS and try. IF this fiales, You may wait to either factory reset the RBR and all RBS and setup from scratch or update FW:
This would be manually downloaded and manually applied to the RBS first then RBR lastly.
IF you can't get the one RBS synced to update FW,
What you need to do is factory reset the RBS. Wire connect a PC to the 1st satellite. Already have the most current FW version files downloaded on to this PC.
Wire connect 1 PC to the back of the RBS. Factory reset the RBS, wait about 5 minutes. The PC will get a IP address from the satellite. The RBS will be 192.168.1.250. Use this IP address in a web browser to log in to the satellites web page. Log in as admin and password. Use the satellites web page FW update feature to select the FW update file that was unpacked from the .zip file. Then factory reset and then re-sync the satellites to the RBR.
