Rbs350 blinking magenta once every x-days/weeks
We have bought an orbi system rbs350 with two satalites. Since the beginning the satalites show a backhaul problem onve every x-days or sometines x-weeks. Once thet reach this status the only thing you can do is unplug them and reconnect, then everything is ok again for the same amount of time.
The satalite still maintains its wifi output and if your phone (or what ever device) is connected to that node your are completely isolated from the other devices.
I have tried updating to the latest firmware, reset the satalite, reset the router, reset bot router and satalite. I now have disabled all orbi functions and they act as wifi accesspoint to my ISP’s router (unwanted situation) but still have this problem. I did this to test if there could be any DHCP race condition conflict beteeen the teo routers (although at first the ISP’s router was connected to the WAN port so in theory this can not happen and i always connect in this way)
Never the less, intried to see if the device log’s would display anything strange but there completely empty.
It can not be the distance, i already moved 1 unit from upstairs to downstand and the maximum distance between rbr and rbs now is 5mtr with 1 wall in between but still the same problem occurs.
I van not identify any triggers for this behaviour either.
I’m starting to loose faith in the netgear orbi at the moment as i’m struggeling for over 1,5years now, please help me
