RBS50 Satellite daisy chained (wired) off RBS853 satellite

Hello

I am thinking of upgrading from RBR50+RBS50 Satellites to RBR850 + RBS850 Satellites. But I was hoping to save some money by continuing to use one of my RBS50 satellites in a detached garage. I have seen a post about using an RBS50 hardwired directly to the RBR850 router, but my layout would require me to daisy chain the RBS50 off an RBS850 satellite rather than directly to the RBR850 router. So the RBS50<->RBS850 would be by ethernet cable, but the RBS850<->RBR850 would be wireless.

I'd be grateful for any advice on whether that would work, or any issues I might face.

Many thanks

Jon

  • I don't have one to test with but I believe you can hardwire the RBS50 to a satellite.

Again, I haven't done it myself but I've read of others on the forums doing so.
