rbs50 to ax4200 worth it?

I have the orbi rbk50 set. 2 satellites. about 3000 sq feet. lots of devices and stream quite a bit. internet service is 400\400. I can get a really good deal on the ax4200 with 2 satellites for $500. will I notice a difference? I sometimes get bad quality streaming but its usually a firestick and connects to the wrong satellite. also would like better coverage for a couple devices on by patio.

IF you have AX supporting devices then that maybe one reason to upgrade to AX or you can get it and future proof for when you get some AX supporting devices. Back haul is 2400 on AX vs 1733 on Orbi AC 50 series.

I recommend you post about this over in the Orbi AX forum for more information.

  • I went from RBK53 to AX4200 and have seen at least a 100 mb/s improvement for all speeds across the house. With an AX 6 device this shoots up a lot more. Also the range has improved. So I would say, go for it.
