RBS750 Daisy-Chain Slow Speed
Hello there I have a 300Mbps fiber and I have the following Setup RBS750 (Main Router) -> RBS750 (1st Satellite) -> RBS750 (2nd Satellite (daisy-chained to 1st Stellite). The Backhaul Sta...

You still loose speed with distance over 5ghz. It doesn't broadcast as far or through as much materials as 2.4ghz but is significantly faster.
but you're still starting at 300mbps so its drop off starts there.

Opening up again this one.
I got recently a speed upgrade from my ISP.
So now all Orbi's Satellites can reach 550Mbps download, except from the daisy-chained one is stuck at 200-210 max. This is of course connected to a Satellite that can easily serve 550Mbps when speed-testing.
In my previous contract with 300Mbps, I though 200Mbps was ok, as believed that in daisy/chain mode 30% speed is maybe lost.
But what about now?
Backhaul Status in ALL Satellites is GOOD.
Is there something I can do about it? Is there maybe something that limits the Daisy-Chained speed to 200?

Hello skous,
Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!
I understand that you are not getting the desired network speeds from your daisy-chained satellite. If your router and satellites are on the same firmware, then the location or distance from your satellite could be an issue. To troubleshoot please replace your daisy-chained satellite with one that is connected to the router. If you get the same network speeds from that router, then you can rest assured that the location is the issue and not the satellite. In this case, the satellite will either have to be moved closer to the main satellite or a wired bach-haul setup may be required.

Kevin

I will try by swapping some satellites to see if there is a hardware problem.
Regarding the ethernet backhaul, would this work between the daisy-chained and the satellite, or is it only working if the wired connection is to the main device?- FURRYe38Oct 28, 2023Guru - Experienced User
Shoud work to the RBS to RBS for ethernet connection.
