RBS760 - Firmware downgrade from 4.6.8.2 to 4.6.5.14

Hi, have upgrade the firmware in my RBS750 and now is not connecting to my RBR750. My two additional satelites works fine with the previous version 4.6.5.14.
guess downgrading the firmware back to 4.6.5.14 on this satelite will fix the issue but not sure about. Anybody tried to downgrade RBS750 to a former version with good results ?

  • At the end I did downgrade to v4.6.5.14. The same firmware than the other RBS and RBR and it worked fine

DO NOT DOWNGRADE FW to v4.6.5.14. You risk bricking the system.

Did you update the RBS first then RBR lastly?

How did you update the system? Manually with a wired PC and web browser or via auto update?

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed on the RBS and RBR?

After the first RBS firmware upgrade failed I tried several factory resets and tried to set up RBR and all RBS from scratch as well unsuccessfully. My first update was in the RBS but I did not touch RBR because it failed

      I have now:

      -1 RBR in v4.6.5.14
      -1 RBS in v4.6.5.14
      -1 RBS in v4.6.7.13 (I did downgrade from 4.6.6.8.2 to 4.6.7.13)

All works but the RBS in v4.6.7.13 that is not recognized

I have performed several factory resets from scratch. RBS and RBR. I get a solid blue, can connect to the RBS,  can see it in the Network, and I have tried to update/set up the system with a wired PC an via Mobile both as well

At the end I get a solid blue and RBS but it do not sync. Once I was able to see the satellite in the orb login admin page in the Connected Satellites section but the device name was empty

Now I´m not sure what the next step will be:

      - downgrade this time from v4.6.7.13 to v.4.6.5.14 so all are in the same firmware
      - upgrade the other RBS and RBR to 4.6.7.13
      - wait for a new firmware from Netgear
      - try to build the system from the scratch a second time
