RBS850 drops wireless connection but keeps ethernet PC connected to wifi

I have the RBK853 orbi wifi system in router mode with 2 wireless satellites. Wireless backhaul goes RBR to RBS1 to RBS2 and cannot be changed due to layout of my house. The furthest satellite, RBS2, works great except for when my brother's desktop is connected to one of the ethernet ports. The wireless signal for this satellite drops every few minutes and comes back online. Meanwhile, the PC that is connected to this satellite via ethernet stays connected to the wifi with no interruptions during wireless dropping whatsoever. The wireless coverage experiences no outages when there are no ethernet devices connected to the satellite. I speculate that the band is jumping to help with the wireless backhaul, thus disconnecting all wireless devices on the satellite. The satellite is not disconnecting from mesh with the RBS1 and RBR while the wireless outages happen. Is there a fix to stop the band from switching (if this is even the case)? Or to limit the speeds of the ethernet device connected? Can I assign devices to specific bands or limit access to specific bands (both 2.4 and 5.0 bands are active for wifi with the other 5.0 band for wireless backhaul)? Only the wireless from the satellite being connected to ethernet is affected (wireless drops every 5 mins and rejoins within 30sec-1min after drop). Looking for a fix so I don't have to get another satellite, thanks.

  • What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

What channels are you using? Auto? Try Auto and 48 on 5Ghz. Or try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
