RBS850 poor wifi performance when connected to ethernet backhaul connection to RBR850
Hi, I'm trying to find some additional help. I got an ISP box which has a poor and old Wifi function in my house (ground floor and basement). So I decided to buy new mesh system but it didn't work...
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
How is the RBS connected to the RBR, directly or is there a LAN switch in between?
What CAT# lan cabling are you using between the RBR and RBS? CAT6 is recommened.
You don't need to change these as they don't effect anything on the LAN side:
b) set a specific channel for 2.5Ghz for wifi as well as for 5Ghz
c) change wireless CTS/RTS setting
d) change MTU size to 1492
e) change DNS to Google DNS
