It would help to know how far apart the router and satellite are and what lies in the path between them.
Sometimes there are metallic items hidden inside walls which disrupt WiFi signals and moving one or the other units just a few feet can make a significant difference in the connection.
In general, how long does the connection stay "Good" before changing to "Pool"?

Thanks for following up. The units are Router upstairs in an apartment and the Satellite node downstairs, roughly 10 metres apart if you were to draw a line between them but about 20 metres if you measure down the stairs. There is a concrete slab in between but as I say it is "good" now and has been for about 6 days now.
Generally it is about 8-14 days as to when it will report "poor". It is not predictable but I am starting to track it.
I purchased the Orbi units to replace the Netgear extender I previously had as it had a similar sort of issue. Any other ideas you may have are welcome.
