Hi, I have an ORBI RBR850(router) and two ORBI RBS850(satellites). However, I am having huge problems with internet stability. I will try to describe it in as much detail as possible. I have a fiber optic internet connection from a Dutch ISP. I am using a Genexis modem to which I have connected my RBR850. I have set the RBR850 as an access point (AP) because it is not possible to set the GENEXIS modem as a bridge. The first satellite is about 25 meters / 80 feet away. I wired this to the router with a UTP cat 6u cable.The second satellite is again 6-7 meters / 20-25 feet away from the other satellite. This is wirelessly connected to satellite number one. Now I am experiencing the following problems:Satellite 1 regularly switches the backhaul status from good to poor to no connection at all (magenta pulse). And after a couple of minutes it gets back online.Satellite 2 is dependent on satellite 1 and often does not provide a connection. However, if satellite 1 works again, satellite 2 will not provide internet.The RBR850 (router) always gives a stable signal and when I am connected to it there is no problem at all. High speeds and low ping.But the satellites are really disastrous, sometimes (if I'm lucky) everything works perfectly and the internet connection is just stable for hours. But usually the connection is lost several times within 30 minutes or no internet signal. I've had the RBR850 set up as a Router in the past. I changed this setting of the ORBI 850 to Access point because I thought it might conflict because there were two routers connected to each other. (Genexis > Orbi). Unfortunately I have exactly the same problems.I've switched the satellites positions, but still the same problem. Maybe Im doing anything wrong in the setup, but I dont know what to do anymore. My wife and kids are driving me crazy because they cant have a stable internet connection (and believe me, that's worse than the internet connection itself 😂) I also made a drawing of the setup for clarification.

- what other wired devices do you have connected to the router or the satellites?- Please test to make router forget any wireless pairing with satellite 1. Disconnect the cable and in the web GUI (orbilogin.com) under “attached devices “ when you see the satellite marked as offline and you see a “Disconnect” button beside, click the Disconnect button to forget the pairing. Then do a factory reset for the satellite. Now never press the sync button without the cable being connected between router and satellite 1. Now connect the cable and press the sync buttons on both the router and the satellite. This way you have the router only paired on the wired backhaul. I had similar issues some time ago and that was the only work around to fix it.Please also make sure that you have the latest firmware 4.6.9.11

When you switched the satellites, you had the exact same issue of the hardwired satellite having issues?

Any chance you have another ethernet cable sitting around you could test?

That seems to be the only common factory.

Is the satellite hardwired directly into the router or does it run through a switch?

  Not as long as this one I'm using now, I've used others to test as well but the problem remains.

  Connected directly to the ORBI router.
  
  Sometimes it also seems like the satellite is making a wireless connection to the router instead of wired, but the satellite is too far from the router (25meters/80feet) I think?
