RBSE960 does not fully come online after reboot with TP-Link Access point connected
Hi, I have an issue in my home where I have a RBR960 Router connected to two RBS960 satellites using wireless backhaul. One of the RBS960 Satellites has a wired TP-Link(AC1750) Access point connected...

I would presume that the DHCP service on the TP Link was the problem since you disabled it and things are working now.
Glad you seem to figure it out. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

Update: I think I may have resolved. The TP-Link although in Access Point mode, had DHCP server on Auto. I turned this to Off, since all DHCP should be coming from the Orbi. I've rebooted the RBS and it came back online completely without any removal of cables. I'm not exactly sure that was the issue, but seems to be ok now. thanks.

My issue has returned. In this case, and in the past, when the spectrum service is disrupted, one of my satellites (RBSE960) does not come fully online. It allows connections, but anything connected to it does not connect to the internet. In order for me to get this back, I had to power off and pull the physical cable from the RBSE960 to the TP-Link access point. Then once it is online and I confirm Internet connectivity, I can then plug back in the TP-Link and it connects just fine. Anyone have any ideas? This has happened a number of times, similar happens if the Router is restarted, I can not get this particular satellite connected without the above steps.(most of the time). Thoughts?

Can you remove the TP-LINK AP from the mix and test with out it?
I would open up a support ticked and inform NG of what your seeing and experiencing and the steps to resolve this until the next reboot or power cycle happens.

Hi, issue happened again last night when spectrum had a short outage. the same satellite was offline/disconnected. The confusing part of troubleshooting is the orbi app is horribly delayed with any activity changes and shows that the satellite is up and functional. however, nothing connected to it has access to the internet. The web gui does show the satellite disconnected. I removed the ethernet cable that connects to my TP-Link and the satellite started flashing white and then went solid blue and then no lights. Checked the status and it was back to being connected. No reboot of the satellite. All looks good. Reconnected the TP-Link and it reconnected and all is good there as well.
To summarize. Any disruption in Internet access, causes this one satellite to get disconnected from the router. It will not connect back unless I remove the cable for the TP-Link access point. Once this cable is removed, the satellite reconnects, I can then connect TP-Link back and it works fine as well.
I don't have software support with Netgear, but still under hardware support. Do you think I can open a case with NG without a support contract? thanks for the help.
