For instructions on how to manually download this firmware please visit:
How do I manually upgrade firmware on my Orbi router using orbilogin.com?
Thank you for your patience,

Or just buy something else without the problems. Or you can spend hours trying to figure out the problem and then return it in a couple of weeks. Wondered how many of these have been sent back to Amazon and Costco over the past month?

Netgear should be compensating us for all of this wasted time. What a terrible release, the develpoers and QC should be ashamed of themselves for a release this troublesome.
It’s a shame Apple got out of the router business.

- AtllawAug 29, 2021StarThe best I can see them offer is a year free support (which was worthless in this instance since they couldn’t fix it either) or some free Armor or Parental controls subscription for a period of time.

Yeah again both basically worthless.
- Renegade5150Aug 30, 2021TutorI’m in the same boat here. Wanting to trash this system and get a Ubiquity system instead. It’s too bad because up until this crappy firmware update things have been fairly fast and stable. Now my satellites keep flashing blue which means I have to reboot the entire system! Frustrating!!

I have achieved stability by downgrading the firmware on both Router and Satellite. I have to say NG has lost me as a customer for any future products. The only reason I am paining this out is that I cannot return it because I bought it through the NG website. I would love to put in a Ubiquity system. I wish they were not so expensive lol. Anybody have any experience with their AmpliFi routers?

- jdk1120Aug 30, 2021ApprenticeHow/where did you find the old firmware, and how did you keep the system from auto updating to the current problematic one?

All FW files are on NG download page for the 7 or 8 series systems.
How to prevent auto update:

Well just as I figured, resetting to defaults was pointless as the router did the same thing again. Not good when your wife works from home and needs reliable internet. Thank you Netgear for releasing such a nightmarish headache of a release.
Any suggestions on a reliable replacement?

Did you happen to pull the power adapter for 1 full minute after doing a reset then plug back in then walk thru the setup wizard?
Something I happen to find yesterday with mine. I had done a reset on my RBR and RBS. Had all kinds of problems. I left the system unplugged and came back the next day. I was able to get the RBS synced correctly and the RBR setup well. I was able to get in to AP mode aswell. Been running ok since yesterday evening.
If v4 isn't working for you, I recommend you revert back to v3.

Can an actual Netgear employee respond to this thread and acknowledge the issues and let the consumers that pay their salaries know when we can expect to see a release to address the problems?

Someting to open a support ticket with NG support and let them know.

How do you open a case without having to purchase support. Pretty good business model if you can't.

Sent a private message as you suggested. I'm sure it will fall on deaf ears as it seems larger companies/coroporations no longer care about consumer and their experience just their profit margin.
