Would not be a FW issue, possible issue with the RBS itself. Something you should contact NG support about and have them check.

Alrighty, thanks nonetheless

Sounds very similar to the issues I've been experiencing. I get more issues on wired devices than with wireless, but I do see the same behaviour you have described, good wifi connection and stable signal, just dead traffic.
I'm building a pfSense box today and going to stick the Orbi into AP mode and see how that helps. I am more than convinced there are some terrible software gremlins in these units.

There are a couple of other users encountering some strange issues with their 960s. We are trying to track down/identify similarities (if there are) to see if we can help identify the issue(s).
Can you please check your Wireless settings via the WebUI and let us know if you have the "Enable 6GHz Only Network" under the 6GHz Wireless Settings section ENABLED (checked). Curious also as to whether you have this set up to the same SSID as your regular Orbi SSID or a different SSID.
Also - are you on a 1Gbps or better internet connection speed and can you please identify the Modem/Ont you are using for your internet connection.
Thanks!

Thanks for confirming.... at least I now know I am not imagining things 😉
Let me know please if setting to AP changes anything

Hi
sure thing:
1) no, 6 GHZ is not set as "only", the box is UNCHECKED
2) my 2,4 and 5 Ghz bands are running on the same SSID
3) yes, I am on a 1 Gig ISP contract (Vodafone Germany, the ISP provided modem is a "Fritzbox Cable 6591" (pretty standard here in Germany)
Thank you, all help is appreciated

6 GHZ is enabled, but not as an "only network".

I am confused on your comment: "6 GHZ is enabled, but not as an "only network".".
So, does that mean you are using the 6GHz band on the main Orbi SSID and you do NOT have that option enabled?
Edited to add.... Sorry - I saw the 2nd reply, did NOT see the first reply.
I see you have the option UNCHECKED.

yes sorry 🙂
I am NOT USING a 6 GHz only setup, but 6 Ghz is enabled. (however I do not have 6 Ghz devices yet).

Okay - it seems like it is a different issue then. We are seeing a few people that have that option checked (see picture below) having issues with the 960 on a certain group of modems and high speed connections:

As long as you have this "UNCHECKED" - it appears to not be the same issue.
