Orbi 753 w/ fw v4.6.3.16_2.0.51 satellites dropping
My Orbi 753 system auto updated to fw 4.6.3.16_2.0.51 and now the satellites are dropping connection. I can get them working again by power cycling them. The satellites are hard wired to the router...

RBS7 or 8 series will work.
EAX80 will do in pinch however doesn't integrate like RBS do.

Can you remove the switch to see if the problem continues? Wireless or wired if you can.
What is the brand and model of this switch?

I have connected the satellites directly to the back of the router, and have moved other ethernet connected devices to the switch (which is also connected directly to the back of the router.
The switch is a TP-Link model TL-SG108 8-port gigabit desktop switch.
Would a different brand of switch (Netgear GS-305 for example) work better?

Do the RBS seem to work better directly connect to the RBR?
The 305 may work better however I see it has "Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) IEEE 802.3az" someting Orib systems don't work well with sometimes. NG GS-105/108v4, D-Link DGS-105/108 and HP ProCurve 1400/1800 series switches work for Orbi systems.

So far the system is working fine with the satellites connected directly to the router - no switch in between.
I do have a TP-Link TL-SG108 switch connected into a port on the router with devices (not the satellites) connected to that switch; I will order one of the switches you recommended to try instead of that one. Could having this TP-Link switch in the network still cause problems, and would I be better off while waiting for the new switch to have the satellites connected wirelessly to the router and use the ports on the router to run to the devices, to completely eliminate the TP-Link switch?

I would keep with one brand of Switch.
