Your Orbi satellite must also be connected to the Orbi network, so if your switch is upstream from the router then don't connect the Orbi satellite to the same switch.
Are you trying to open a port outside to the public network and what port is getting blocked? What is the device whose port you're trying to make available and where is it connected in your Orbi network? Have you setup port forwarding rules for it?
No I am not trying to set up port forwarding.
Current configuration
ISP modem connected to orbi960 orbi connected from 2.5gb port to Unifi POe switch 2.5gb port, from 2.5gb port on the switch cable running to Orbi satellite connected to 2.5gb port.
Message on the Unifi switch port connection to the satellite - (port blocked)? I am trying to find out why is blocked.
When connected
ISP to orbi, orbi to satelitte directly 2.5gb port to port no issue.
I second configuration I am using the 1gb port on orbi router to connect with the switch for the other devices to be able to connect to UNIFI switch....
What is the brand and model # of this 2.5Gb switch you're using?

The Switch Enterprise 24 PoE (USW Enterprise 24 PoE) is a fully managed, Layer 3 switch with (12) 2.5GbE, 802.3at PoE+ RJ45 ports, (12) GbE, 802.3at PoE+ RJ45 ports, (2) 10G SFP+ ports, and a 400W total PoE supply.Orbi has known problems with managed switches. Sounds like something on this switch maybe blocking RBR to RBS data flow.
Something to try on the switch to see if this help correct the problem, disable ALL IGMP protocols on this switch. Also if the switch supports disabling of Green Ethernet features as well if you see that on this switch.
