Hi,
thanks for your answer.
I checked the blocked sites and it's empty.
I'm not sure what the real problem is.
When I try to access the site, I get a message from the browser
hmm. We're having trouble finding that site.
If you entered the right address, you can:
Try again later
Check your network connection
Check that Firefox has permission to access the web (you might be connected but behind a firewall)
(This happens in all browsers)

Just crazy.
- Connect using WiFi, web browsesr load the site.
- Connect using Ethernet, web browsers all cannot find the site.
On Windows, the WiFi adapter and Ethernet adapters have separate settings for how they determine DNS servers.
(using DHCP to be told which server to use - which is usually the gateway router {Orbi}) or
DNS servers defined by IP address.
Does it work the same way on Mac?

That's it!
You are right, on mac os you can separately configure dns for wired connection and wifi. but I have the same dns configured
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
I check my DNS here - https://www.dnsleaktest.com- CrimpOnJul 10, 2023Guru - Experienced User
Since these DNS servers are defined on the Mac, the DNS requests pass directly through the Orbi router and are not processed by the Orbi DNS mechanism. I can think of nothing that would cause DNS requests to be handled differently because of how the computer is connected to the Orbi.
Just for an experiment, it might be worth changing the DNS to query more than Google. I, myself, use both Google and Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) DNS servers.
Is there anything unusual about this particular web site?

p.s. I have limited experience with using VPN to mask my internet activity. Is it correct that VPN simply channels everything (including DNS queries) through the VPN tunnel. i.e. VPN does not filter out DNS queries and substitute its own DNS servers for the servers defined in the Mac?
