RBRE960B Just one Ethernet port acts weird
Hi there, I've this system from Feb now. It works great. I've a Xbox Series X and a Playstation 5 attached to the main base. Just one ethernet port seems to act strange. Both with Ps5 and Xbox ...

For the 2.5Gb port to be used optimally, it's recommended to use the 1Gb ports for the game consoles as they are only 1Gb supporting. They would not get any benefit from using the 2.5Gb port. 2.5Gb port works on current and new FW. I have mine connected and running my RBSs.
Also be sure that when you do use the 2.5Gb LAN Ports on the RBR or RBS, it's recommended to use CAT6A STP cabling as higher speeds can be effected by noises from external sources where shielding isn't not present in UTP cabling. I use CAT6A STP cabling on the 2.5Gb port and lines out to the multi gig switches and out to the RBS.
You can only block FW updates on the newer version of FW.

7 months in nothing happened before the new firmware arrived.
I can’t avoid using the 2.5Ghz because I need all of them.
The cables are ok.
the only way has been to use nextdns and block netgear update servers.

Funny, new FW works for me and my 2.5Gb ports.
2.5Ghz or 2.5Gb?Again, to get good use out of 2.5Gb ports and make sure all works, CAT6A STP cables are recommended.
One can connect LAN switches up to the RBR for additional ports when needed.
Also a factory reset and setup from scratch would be needed if you see problems.
Good Luck.

Listen, why the fault should be on my side?
When there is a buggy firmware, works for you on PlayStation Plus/store and Xbox Live?
Otherwise as said it works for me too.

Well I set my 9 series up yesterday in AP mode for my needs with v6.3.7.5 loaded back in October.
I connected my xbox series X to the 2.5Gb port on the RBR. Left the RBS wireless connected.
I gamed for 4 hours last night with out a hitch on MW2 2022.
