There's a world of difference between entering a shipping order, "Send one refurbished RBS850 to this address." and "get someone in the warehouse who knows about computers to pull a satellite out of the box - oh, and get out a router, too - hook them up to a computer, update the firmware, then box them back up again, etc. etc." I realize it is Premium Support, but... really?

So when it comes in, try connecting it via ethernet to the back of the RBR first, should find a IP address on the RBRs web page for it...if you do, use it to log into the RBS web page and manually update the FW on the RBS.
This implies the the NETGEAR Support guy is ding more than reading a troubleshooting script.

This is the process we used last time to update the FW. However, the Satellite would still not Sync wirelessly.

Most first level tech support doesn't go beyond scripted support. How most level 1 support across the industry is. 🙄
