Very Expensive Orbi Rout RBR850 - several devices failing to connect

Had this product for about 18 months. Now finding devices failing to connect to the wifi on a regular basis. Unfortunately the paltry 90 days support has now expired - atrocious support from Netgear!...

Orbi will work very well if configurded correctly and if the network to which it's connected is healthy.

  1. Please make sure that you don't have multiple routing (multiple NAT). Please check that the ISP modem is not functioning as a router if Orbi is operating in router mode.
  2. Please make sure no device in your network is causing IP loops. Devices that have both active Ethernet and Wifi interfaces is an example. Also mesh wifi speakers can cause such issues.
  3. Please make sure that no other device in the network is acting as a DHCP server apart from the main router.
