Regular Guest WiFi Drops
I just purchased RBR750 w/ 1 RBS750. Ran into the exact issue with guest WiFi. I manually updated the firmware to V4.6.8.5_2.1.9 but the issue is still ongoing with guest network only.
I have tried...

I have tried every suggestion found in the forums with no change. Now finding this thread I am not optimistic the issue will ever be resolved considering it has been ongoing for at least year at this point. The old router never dropped guest WiFi was after more coverage is why I changed to Netgear mesh network
This was fixed for others and me since the last firmware. It's still fixed for the (new/lat)est firmware too.

I have monitored since last post. I have 4.6.9.11 firmware. Seems more prone on Android type devices. Kindle fire 10 every few hours. Android phones more than iPhone no pattern. IOT devices are stable. Parental Control Off. Armor On but tried turning off, no change.

- Do you have the same security settings in the guest network as the main network (e.g. WPA2-PSK,...)?

Only have one satellite and yes it is same firmware. Also same security as primary WiFi WPA2-Personal. Used the same setup for guest network on the TP-LINK Archer AX6000 no issues just mention far comparison sake. Switched to NG chasing extended range and wanted to try a different brand and I think netgear is us based. If there is such a thing for consumer based network gear
- ekhalilSep 19, 2022MasterI really doubt the issue is with the guest network. Do you mean that when you move a device that has issues on the guest network to the main network it will work properly?
What is the make and model of the ISP modem/router to which Orbi is connected please?
Do you have the issues with devices that are connected to the satellite or to the router or both?

Hi Rob1988 ,
What's Android phones had wifi drop issue ?
You mentioned that Armor On but tried turning off => is it Armor off now, right ?
Thanks.
- Rob1988Sep 23, 2022AspirantHouse is 2200sq.ft Router is located in basement office and satellite is wired backhaul 45ft on main floor with just wood and drywall in between but again wired backhaul. I have observed the drop of guest network from both router and satellite. I see more on satellite but think that is just because of location on main floor. I cannot find a real pattern and now most know to bounce the WiFi on their device to reconnect.

Basements are not recommended locations for the main router unit. Concrete and steel will inhibit signal travel.
Try turning down the power on the RBR to 50%. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Turn OFF the RBS and see if the Guest network wifi still drops with just connecting to the RBR?
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed with out enabling any Armor or SPC?
- Rob1988Sep 23, 2022AspirantYes Armour is active
