Got it, yeah I have one cable running from the g100 router’s LAN port to the WAN port on the orbi router, and then just a second cable running from another of the G1100’s LAN port to the satellite. Shucks, thought that might work.
Seems like the easiest is to buy another satellite and stick the base orbit back in the basement and the g1100 in the trash.

Yes, this is the most obvious and straight-forward solution. With the Orbi in the basement, satellites upstairs can be connected to it with the existing Ethernet cables.
