Satellite not available app
Dear All, Have a question about a setup. 1x router RBR850, 2x satellite RBS850. I have an ISP where the modem unfortunately cannot be used in bridge mode, so it also has the router function. ...

I have ordered an additional sattelite, and placed that on the former location of the router.
The original router is placed nearby the switch and you`re solution worked:
- Router connected to the switch.
- Satellites connected from the patch panel directly to LAN ports on the RBR850 (not connected to the swtich)
Your understanding is correct. When the RBR850 is in Access Point (AP) mode and the units are connected as shown in the diagram, the Orbi does not correctly display the satellite information. (p.s. the diagram shows both satellites connected to the switch. Is this correct?)

Some additional information would be helpful:
- Where is the RBR850 physically located in relation to the switch in Building B?
(My guess is that it is in a different location and there is only one Ethernet cable from the switch location to the router location.) - How many customers are served by the ISP device?
(Only you? or are there others?) - What brand/model of switch is this?
(If this is a managed switch, it is possible to define VLANs and a small switch at the router location to connect the satellites to the router LAN ports. This might be less costly than purchasing an RBS850 satellite.)
