Set up questions for a new Orbi RBR750 network

2) the app also states to place router/satellites at table top height. How important is this? Our former router was placed on top of a 6.5 foot hutch on our first floor would this still be ok? <That's the starting or recommended height. Higher is ok as well.
3) I would like to place my third satellite in my garage. It between my garage and the router I have 80% of a brick wall. Half of which is a brick fireplace.
