So after switching to my orbit router, latest version, I cannot scan directly to NAS

so just recently started having a problem scanning directly to my Synology NAS from my HP Laserjet Printer/Scanner.  Ever time I attempt to scan, the router logs this error:

[DoS attack: DoSPortScan] from source 80.94.92.22,port 57381 Thursday, Aug 03,2023 11:53:04

I am stumped.

  • What model Orbi system do you have? RBK###?

Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
    Turn off and unplug modem.
    Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.

  • Multiple reboots have been done, in the correct order. I really wish ATT would allow their fiber modems to be out in actual real bridge mode. Will reach back out to Orbi tech support again. My older Linksys router did not have this problem, but it is not as advanced as this one.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

Firmware all current. I am thinking that since up pass through is really not bridge mode the ping from the printer is being blocked by the firewall on Orbi since it technically comes from the att gateway. Orbi views it as external traffic. Att equipment is the Nokia modem/gateway pos.
