Spotify intermittent drops

- May 17, 2020Ended up hard wiring the TV.
Would be great if you could break out the 2.4 and 5ghz frequencies if you wanted to or force a device to a specific frequency.
There is already a toggle to turn internet on and off at the device level. Seems like adding a toggle or option for 2.4, 5, or both at a device level should be doable.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Try disabling the following and see:
A IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Set Short preamble instead of Long preamble modes. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).
Be sure that CTS and RTS values are changed to 2347 under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings

I did not have this issue when running my ISPs router (2.4 and 5 disabled now) and do not have this issue when running other web services (e.g., Netflix, Disney+). I have CenturyLink fiber and test at 930 or so up/ down at the Orbi and 350-450 wirelessly on my Mac and iPhone.
The TV looks to be connected to the 5ghz signal on the RBR and there is an RBS on the upper level also. I was originally thinking the TV was switching between the RBR and RBS but accoring to the app that is not the case.
I ran a Wifi scan on my Mac and changed 2.4 to channel 11 and 5 to channel 36 per its recommendation.
Anyone else having this issue?

Firmware: V3.2.10.11_1.2.12
ISP Modem: Zyxel C3000Z
Home sq ft: ~6,500
Distance to satellites: ~35 ft to RBS upper level; ~25 ft to RBS lower level; RBR on main level
Channels: 2.4ghz - 11; 5ghz - 36 (based on a Wifi scan using my Mac utility)
3-4 Wifi neighbors, however, the closet house is ~50-75 ft away
I see a checkbox to enable 20/40mhz coexistence but not one to default to 40mhz only unless by unchecking the checkbox it defaults to 40mhz.
Preamble is set to automatic, assume it should be fixed at short for both 2.4 and 5ghz?
RTS/ CTS set to 500. I tried 2347 previously and the wireless speed dropped significantly.
