Steps to enable Over 1GBPS with Orbi and modem
Hi, I have a Orbi 852 and CM1150V modem. I currently get over 1gbps from Xfinity, but since I don't have multi gig aggregation or anything turned on i cant realize the speed. i dont even get 1gbps...
Your Orbi 850 has a 2.5Gb WAN port so no need to deal with LAN Aggregation. Just connect a good ethernet cable and you're good.
However, you'll not get full speed if your Xfinity router is also activate at the same time as your Orbi router (i.e., Double NAT). Put your Xfinity router into bridge mode, use your Orbi in Access Point (AP) mode, etc. For more info see:
