Thank you for verifying the satellite’s preprogrammed settings are cleared out after the reset.
Yes sir, the satellite is connected to the router via WiFi, the same fashion as the original satellite.
Thank you

Please describe the firmware release number running on the router and each satellite.
On the router web interface, this appears in the upper right of most web pages. The Firmware Update menu shows the current firmware on both router and satellites.
The Orbi 'app' describes firmware under "Details".

Router V4.6.14.3
Original satellite also. V4.6.14.3
New satellite V3.2.15.30
And there in lies a potential problem. The new satellite states there is an update available. I ran it and it says update successful, however it is not successful as it has not updated- CrimpOnApr 22, 2024Guru
It may be possible to manually update that satellite, either using the Manual Update tab on the Firmware Update page or by connecting a web browser directly to the IP address of the satellite.
The RBS firmware can be found here:

Should point out that Netgear has released even newer firmware for the 750 series.

I have installed it with no problem, but my situation is very "plain vanilla".

First of all, I prefer vanilla. lol. I’m sorry for my delay in responding. I have been giving my results time to fail. So, Last night, I attempted another approach, as i was uncertain how to do what you had suggested. (connecting a web browser directly to the IP address of the satellite)
I tried something that I could grasp. And here was my thought process. I think these satellites learn. So, I took the satellite that was not updating its firmware, to the router that has the updated firmware and connected the two together via Ethernet cable. I don’t know if it was a fluke, but after resetting the satellite, and syncing it, the satellite displayed the newer fw version. Feeling semi confident i unplugged the satellite, took it to the location i need it to be, powered it up, and the fw held. However, nothing was showing on my network map, even the pc and phone hardwired to this satellite. I reset it, synced it and hoped for the best. Unfortunately it reverted back to the older fw. I’m not sure if persistence prevailed, but after several more times of resetting it and syncing router and satellite, it held true. Again I don’t know if this is a fluke, or not. I will say this, it has only been 20 hours, but all is working as it should. My wired pc and phone show connected on the network map. Other wifi items have gradually added themselves to this satellite. I realize i have taken you through a rabbit hole with all my explanation, but if it continues to remain active, it may help someone else struggling with their system.
As for a newer fw update you mentioned, I may try to update to the 7-2-6-31 in the weeks to come, I think I’m going to let this one ride for a while. No need to poke the bear.
Again thank you for your time and assistance.

How did you update the one RBS? using Update All on the RBR or did you download the FW file and apply the RBS file to the RBS web page?

I was to able to update it simply by the update button on the Orbi app. The additional one was not cooperating.
