Does front LED on the RBR850 turn PINK when this happens?
Does this happen with the RBS turned OFF?
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR📡 and RBS🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.
What channel configurations are currently set on the router?
Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser. Recommend setting the default DHCP IP address pool range to the following after applying and a factory reset: 192.168.#.100 to 192.168.#.200.

I would power OFF the ISP modem for 1 minute. Factory reset the Orbi router and power it off. Power ON the ISP modem and let it sync. Then power ON the Orbi router and walk thru the setup wizard again using a wired PC and a web browser.
Press the back reset button for 15 seconds then release.

Turn OFF the RBS and see if this happens with only the RBR online.

This version is not valid for a RBR50 or 40 series RBR. Please confirm the FW version or the RBR model#.

For this size of home, a RBR and just one RBS is only needed.

Hello savagebeast ,
Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!
Thank you for verifying the model of the Orbi in question is the RBR850. If you are using RBS850's in your mesh system an RBR40 will not work with those satellites because Orbi AC and Orbi AX mesh systems are not compatible. Please consider turning off the Wi-Fi on your Arris S33 DOCSIS 3.1 then put your RBR850 in access point mode. This configuration will enable you to use the wireless signal of the RBR850 and will greatly reduce the chance of network configuration conflicts. Please note that there are some features that will be disabled on your RBR850 when in access point mode.
Please visit the link below for instructions on how to put your RBR850 in access point mode:

All; a quick update. So i have had my main router replaced with a new Xfinity Xfi and the cable drop into the house changed; checked all the connections and this is still happening. It just happened and checked speed on the Xfi (via Xfinity app) and was getting 1.4Gb down and 50Mb up; however the RBR850 was pink. Do I need a new RBR850 - or would you all recommend a different approach.
