Tablo 4th Gen won't connect to TV via Orbi
I have a Tablo 4th Gen DVR unit attached via Ethernet to a satellite in my Orbi WiFi6 setup on top of UVerse. I am trying to connect to a TCL ROKU TV, which is attached via Ethernet to my UVerse route...
The Uverse and Orbi are both routers. They each create a local area network in a specific IP subnet. When two devices are both connected to either the Uverse or the Orbi network, they can communicate. When one is connected to UVerse and the other to Orbi, they will have IP addresses in different subnets. A technical savant can probably create a mechanism for them to communicate, but most of quickly give up.
In general, we advise to have only a single WiFi network in the house. That reduces competition for frequencies and bandwidth. There are specific situations where it might be useful to have two WiFi systems, but they are rare.
So, I would suggest disabling the UVerse WiFi.
Connect both the television and the Tablo to the Orbi system. The Tablo smartphone app may be like most of the "Internet of Things" apps and utilize a cloud connection to communicate between the smartphone and the Tablo. (For example, can you control the Tablo when away from home?)

Thanks. The UVerse WiFi has been disabled since I installed the Orbi mesh.
