You can't disable 5Ghz nor separate SSIDs on any Orbi AX System.
So you might want to also change the power output of the 5Ghz radio to 25%. Turn OFF ALL RBS temporarily. Then connect your mobile device at a distance from the RBR to ensure the mobile phone keeps connected to the 2.4Ghz radio. After you get the IoT device connected, re-configure the system back to where it was.
Be sure that 20/40 MHz Coexistence enabled.

Is there a way to temporarily disable the 5ghz to connect devices? I connect to the router and under wifi there are no options to toggle this on or off...... clearly a feature missing . Thanks in advance for your help and advice 🙂
