Unable to set custom primary and secondary DNS servers

Yes should be fine.
If you reset and setup from scratch, just don't enable Armor or SPC when you get to the home page of the router.
What Orbi model do you have?
A factory reset with the RBR will resolve this. I'ts recommended to do this with the RBR disconnected fro the ISP modem or ONT.
Be sure to not enable Armor or SPC after you reset the RBR.
