Updated Orbi system and now getting poor backhaul

Do you still have the 763? Could you reinstall it and return the 853 (and get your money back)?
Was this change prompted by a higher speed internet connection?
Unfortunately I can no longer return. Yes the change was prompted by higher speeds, and I wanted the extra ethernet ports on the back of the router and satellites. I got the system with a nice discount and thought updating it wouldn't hurt anything.
Since my last post, one of the satellites is now showing Good backhaul but the speed is still slower when connected to that satellite compared to being connected to the router. The 2nd satellite is still showing Poor Backhaul which was not an issue on my old system. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
What are the speeds being measured when connected to the router vs. connected to each of the satellites?
(what device is being used to measure speed?) All of the LAN Ethernet ports on the router and satellite are gigabit, which limits the maximum possible speed measurement for a device 'wired' to the system to the mid 900Mbps range. (Even Ethernet has some overhead which makes it impossible to record a full gigabit speed.)
An easy experiment would be to temporarily relocate that satellite reporting a "Poor" connection to the same room as the router. After being restarted there, in a few minutes the satellite should connect to the router. (takes longer than we humans think a computer should need) If the speed does not report "Good - 5G", then there is something wrong with either the router or the satellite and Netgear should honor the 1 year hardware warranty.
If the speed report "Good" when in the same room with the router, then it might be worth investigating if the new installation is exactly the same as the previous installation. WiFi is sensitive to any material in the direct radio pathway.
