After you put the CBR into bridge mode and after you hit apply, reboot or power OFF the RBR750 for 30 seconds then back on. Should have Internet here. Check the RBRs web page under basic tab to check the status of the internet connection after the RBR comes back online.
- grimsladeMar 14, 2021TutorThanks. This did not work. Rbr750 shows 0.0.0.0 for gateway, dns, etc. It’s like the 750 can’t talk to the CBR40 at all when the modem is in bridge mode. I asked Spectrum if we could try registering the router with them but they insisted that wouldn’t work. I may just try it myself. Anyone here have any experience with this?

Ensure the WAN port of the CBR40 is being connected from the WAN port on the RBR750.
Swap LAN cables. CAT6 is recommended.

Thanks. There is no WAN port on the CBR40.
Nothing worked. Spent three hours on the phone with NetGear support last night. As soon as the CBR40 goes into Bridge Mode, we lose all communication with it. Same thing happens if you merely turn off the DHCP server on the CBR40.
Looks like a new cable modem is in my future.
