Using Orbi AX4200 with BT FTTP
I've recently upgraded to BT FTTP and now have an Openreach ONT (Nokia version). I'm thinking of getting the Orbi AX4200 mesh system as the BT Smarthub 2 is even worse that the original Smarthub. I'm wondering if anyone knows if I'll be able to connect the Orbi router directly to the ONT and fully ditch the Smarthub or will I need to keep the Samrthub in the system?
From what I've been reading I'm hoping I can conect the Orbi router directly to the ONT and just use PPPOE to enable access.

What is the model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT or HomeHub the NG router would be connected too? If there is a built in router at the ONT or modem, Your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop

Thanks Furry. It's a Nokia made fibre ONT only. No router in it, just modem type function.
I'd ask the ISP to see if the RBR can replace there router after the ONT. I presume it could.
