What's the difference between connecting to home network wifi and wired?
I’ve observed an odd issue where some websites and Microsoft Co-Pilot disable website editing controls when I’m connected to my home Wi-Fi, which is through my Orbi 950 router. However, if I conne...

Ok, checking with the 950 series, NG doesn't have any newer FW for the 950 series. Yet. Don't know if or when NG will have something for the 950 series. So I guess you'll have the most current v6 FW. 🙄
.CHK is NG chosen file format extension for there FW files that are only recognized by the WEB UIs.

I forgot that the auto-check doesn't work for the 950 and I need to search for 960 firmware manually.
Speaking of firmware - do you happen to know what chk means in the firmware file? traditionally, chk signify debug version.

960 firmware works on 950. I just upgraded. Love the new icons under device list.
I think I found the original issue. Not sure why, but I had local dns setup on my wifi adapter (probably old test).
* Connecting to VPN uses the VPN server dns,
* wire connection got the DNS from the router (different adapter and setting) s mentioned above
Positive outcomes of this thread -
- Lowered the power transmission to 50% - I think my devices connect faster now
- Got new firmware
- Not an Orbi issue 🙂
Thank you both for the great help and prompt responses.

Kewl Glad to know 960 version works on 950. Wasn't sure. Thanks for letting us know.
Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
