Why is wireless upload speed always slower than download?

Between RBK753 and iphone 11 and intel laptop, i found the upload speed to be always 1/3 to 1/2 of the download speed. Wondering why it is like this?

    What are you speed UP and Down that you pay for? 

    Usually ISP speeds are faster on the down vs the up which ISPs set in ther speed packages. Unless you have a ISP with same UP and Down speed packages. 

     

    Wireless speed testing can be effected by many factors, configuration, placement, noise and actual HW devices. 

    Which is why wired ethernet cable speed testing is preferred to check first.

      I am measuring the speed using librespeed installed on a server next to the router, so the test is purely for wireless speed. On a wired client I get full 1g up and down. On wireless clients, i typically get 600-800m down and 200-500m up.
