This is an issue that appeared with the latest firmware v4.6.9.11. It’s not handling wired backhaul correctly.
I hope that Netgear will fix this soon.

It's not just the latest firmware, I've seen this issue for a long time now, although only with specific devices. I have a Ring doorbell that consistently shows as being wired to the router, although it's actually connected wirelessly to the nearest satellite (and this can be verified by going in the connected devices page for the satellite itself).
This morning the Orbi app was showing a phone connected via Wifi that had left the house an hour before, although the browser status page was showing correct details.
I've just come to the conclusion that the Orbi list of connected devices is usually wrong, and I've learned not to rely on it.
- ekhalilSep 29, 2022MasterThe “Attached Devices” list in the Orbi app is different from the web GUI if you’re using Smart Parental Control, otherwise the two lists should be basically same.
