well i can't just check it out because i'm currentlly digging the forum to find out answers BEFORE i buy the Orbi 🙂
I have a big house with 2 storeys and want to form a new mesh network with the 2 sattelites wired far away from the router.

Best way would be to give it a try.
Yes, you can use managed switches. Maybe some configurations needed to make some of those work. IGMP Protocol is one that should be disabled from historical posts.
The mentioned brands and model switches are ones I've personally tested with my Orbi systems. They work.

Bought the RBK753 and works like a charm. But when i set it up, the web interface keeps telling me that the 2 security questions are wrong but i'm 99.99% they are correct ... and now i have to reset and start from the begining....

The security questions are case/space sensitive. Plus we see a lot of time where people didn't set it up (not saying you didn't) and then they get asked the questions but there isn't a correct response.
