Wiz Smartbulb installation failing due to Broadcast (UDP) settings
Hi all, Hopefully here my question can be answered. As a not to experienced user iḿ trying to setup a pair (actually 12) Wiz Smart bulbs in my living. I have been looking around and found ...

Update: Deleted the bulb from "Office" and connected my Android phone to an RBR750 (at 5G).
Went through the pairing process and the bulb is connected to the RBR750 (at 2.4G, which is all it can do).
Thus, the WIZ bulb can be paired to an AX Orbi router when the smartphone is connected to the Orbi at 5G.
This leads to Disappointment Number 2. Getting the damn bulb to reset and go into pairing mode drove me to drink! (litterally). Followed the directions over (and over and over...) for an eternity. At maybe the 10th attempt, suddenly the bulb began to pulse blue, the WIZ Connect app found the bulb. Gave it a name. Told it what color to be. etc. etc.
Thus there could be two explanations for problems setting up the WIZ light bulb:
- Maybe the Apple app does not work correctly? (do not have iPhone or iPad to experiment), or
- Perhaps the bulb got into that stupid (stupid stupid) situation where it simply would not go into pairing mode and the user got fed up and quit. (This is why I do not have a hammer in the office. Also, it would be hell to get bits of glass and plastic out of the carpet.)
The WIZ bulb provided me $14.13 worth of entertainment and now goes "in the box" with all the other IoT things that work.

Can't wait for the people with the "I have a new WiFi" posts (as we see in the Extender section of the community very often) and struggling on re-adding the wireless to the Internet. What "of course" must be a Netgear problem then.
Even the magic Smart Home ZigBee lights and toyz - I prefer by far over WiFi connected devices (think about the limitations of the concurrrent number of active clients) - can be reset and brought to the status of re-sync simply by a quick power-off and power-on about ten times. Easy to do in an appartment, even in a multi storey or appartment building.... Ok, those big fuses need some more force, but the fun is on the bad guys.
