Wow has my RBR850 network gotten unstable!
Ever since I did a monthly power cycle of my router (RBR850) and 2 RBS 850's, things have really gotten unstable. I would always power cycle every 4-6 weeks, not sure I will ever do that again. I di...

Just checked again, router admin page says this, which is probably why devices on upper floors won't connect to WiFi. Also, as a note when I power cycled the router and 1 RBS individually this morning, both came up fine (no color for RBR, RBS was blue).

What is the brand and model# of the switch in between the RBR and RBS?
What happens if you disconnect the switch and let the RBS wirelessly connect to the RBR?

went out for a meeting, came back, WiFi is down for everybody - laptops, devices, etc. Wow this is nasty. Haven't touched the network other than power cycles this morning - did one right before I left of everything in the proper sequence with waiting in between. The switch and router/modem appear fine, I can use the internet through 4th-connected laptops. The switch is a NETGEAR 48-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS348).
What do you recommend - factory rest the two RBSs one at a time (turn the other off)/
Or do you think I should try changing the backhaul password first? How would I safely do that?

Well I ended up going through the procedure to factory reset each RBS one at a time, and now things are working again. I did not do anything to the RBR, as devices in the same room to it connected wirelessly immediately - so it seemed to be working fine. It was the 2 RBSs that were messed up. Wow is that flaky! I hope it stays working now.
FYI, again one of the RBSs would not sync wirelessly on the factory reset even though I had it about 6' from the RBR. I tried the button on the RBR web page with the RBS Sync button, and I tried both buttons on the RBS and RBS. I used an Eth cable to sync it. The other synced fine on wireless after a factory reset.

Yes, generating a new BH password should have cleared the RBR and RBS data and should have allowed both RBS to synce wirelessly. With out having to use ethernet.
Something to try if you can, find you a GS105 or GS108 Gb switch and use this in place of the 348 switch for the RBS ethernet connection and see if this happens again. Though I know the 3 series are non managed, wondering if something could have happened with the 3 series switch. I'm waiting on a GS308 to arrive today and will be testing 3 of these switches to see if anything happens. Been using mostly the 10x series and haven't seen any issues thus far. Been wanting to try 3 series switches to see if anything different appears.
Is your 348 just a 348 model or is there a 348PP or 348T at the end in the model string?
